But little do they know, they’ve waded into a thick web of lies, betrayal, and power plays amongst resistance groups within the greater landscape of WW2 Germany. Secrets, sisterhood, sacrifice, and the shades of gray of the human experience are explored in Wicked Dames.
Don’t get it twisted – this isn’t your grandfather’s testosterone-driven “war story.” Nor is it a romanticized, rose-colored-glasses take on WW2.
It’s a fresh look into the side of WW2 many people don’t even know about through a gritty, grounded female ensemble lens.

Alison Haselden is an actor and writer. She’s passionate about bringing complex female characters to life and exploring the shades of gray in the human experience. Wicked Dames is her first novel & narrative podcast. She is based in Atlanta, Georgia with her partner Michael & dog Moose where she is working on her second novel.
